Urban Landscapes VII

A thought-provoking exploration of the constantly changing relationship between city and nature. Urban Landscapes VII focuses on urbanisation and the redefinition of nature and landscape. What was once seen as oppositional is increasingly proving to be intertwined. Nature is designed, directed and adapted to human needs, while cities expand and transform at great speed.

In this process, familiar structures and values disappear, giving rise to a new landscape that can be both fascinating and alienating. Urban Landscapes VII invites you to experience this dynamic and to look again at the environment that surrounds us every day.

Karin van Bodegom is the curator of the exhibition. The artists Nico Kool, Jawek Kwakman, Hans Wilschut, Bonnie Severien, Radek Waanja, Aram Tanis, Karin van Bodegom, Ronald Ruseler, Ingrid Siliakus, Inge Bečka and Sebastiaan Bruin together form a versatile and intriguing whole that challenges you to look differently at the world between concrete and green.
