Make an inquiryThe Ship House is one of Abuja’s most important architectural landmarks. The striking building resembles a ship and was constructed in the 1980s. Its complex reinforced concrete structure includes many windows.
The building houses Nigeria’s Ministry of Defence and provides administrative and support services for the country’s armed forces. The Ship House is a sensitive site and is therefore guarded day and night from military barracks along the street.
