Sheep Hill near Flagstaff carries a charged history. In 1988, the site became associated with the murder of nine year old Jennifer Wilson. Richard Lynn Bible was convicted in the case. Forensic evidence played an important role, and in Arizona the case is regarded as an early use of DNA technology in a murder investigation. Bible was later executed in 2011. Since then, Sheep Hill has remained not only a landscape location, but also a place where topography and memory are intertwined.
